Plate loading test is based on measuring the force with a plaque that is applied force. The test is applied to shallow depths also in a shaft or boring base.
A small diameter plaque (approximately diameter is 8 cm) is overlapped by the force. Amount of the settlement is measured on the floor by the help of dial gouge and their averages are obtained.
